My Mac crashed and I restored my latest backup.
Somehow my Hazel settings and rules are gone.
I don't know where I can find them in the older backups.

Where does Hazel stores it's rules etc?
username/library/.....?

thx in advance:)

Things are stored in the following two places:

- In your Library/Application Support folder, the Hazel folder
- In your Library/Preferences folder, the files starting with com.noodlesoft.

Restoring those should restore everything.

Thank you.
I did that and still my rules didn't show in the Hazel interface so I clicked on them in the Hazel folder and could import them that way.
I had to reconstruct the names of the folders in Hazel (only "downloads" was present) and where to put the imported rules in.
Have it kind of working again.

I'm setting up a new Mac mini. Is it possible to replace the Hazel rules with those from an M2 MacBook Air that has many Hazel rules I'd like to keep and transfer them to the mini? The mini is running Hazel 6.0.2; the Air is running Hazel 5.3.4.

This really should be in a separate topic but yes, see the files listed above. There are rules files which you can import.

UPDATE: I managed to do it by saving the export to iCloud Drive. Thanks for the reply!
