Issues Using Hazel Sync with Cryptomator + OneDrive

Hi everyone, I’m new to Hazel and still getting used to how it behaves with encrypted cloud folders. I recently moved from Boxcryptor to Cryptomator for my OneDrive setup, and since then I’ve run into a strange problem.

Whenever I try to use the Sync action on a folder inside a Cryptomator vault, Hazel throws an error saying it can’t sync the file or folder. If I switch Sync to Copy, Hazel reports that the copy succeeded, but nothing actually appears in the destination. Move still works fine, but I normally rely on Sync first so I can place the same file in multiple locations before moving it. Right now, the Sync error stops the rest of the rule from running, so it never reaches the Move step.

The only workaround I’ve found is to sync to a local folder first and then use a second rule to move the file into the Cryptomator vault. It works, but it feels like an unnecessary extra step.

Has anyone else run into this or found a smoother way to handle Sync with Cryptomator in OneDrive? I’d love to know if I’m missing something obvious.

First off, please do not post questions in the Tips forum. The title of the forum specifically says not to do this.

I don't know how Cryptomator works but I suspect it's not as seamless as they would claim. Can you check the logs? Go to Help->View Logs. See if you can find any errors there.
