I just installed Hazel 5 and the preference pane is still there
When installing Hazel 5, it should remove the old preference pane for you. In some cases, it might fail. It’s not a good idea to have both versions running so do the following to remove it:
- Launch System Preferences.
- Right-click on the Hazel icon.
- Select “Remove ‘Hazel’ preference pane”
- Reboot
That will remove the old preference pane while keeping all your rules and settings intact. Whatever you do, do not click the “Uninstall” button in Hazel.
